Middle QA tester

We are looking for a Middle QA Tester to join our team in Baku and contribute to the quality, reliability, and continuous improvement of our digital payment ecosystem.

In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the stability and quality of our fintech products by designing test scenarios, identifying issues, and collaborating closely with development, business, and product teams throughout the software development lifecycle.

Role Description:

• Analyze business and technical requirements to define effective test scenarios and test coverage.
• Create, maintain, and execute manual test cases for web-based and API-driven applications.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing of fintech solutions.
• Identify, document, and track software defects using issue management tools.
• Collaborate closely with developers, business analysts, and product teams to resolve issues and improve product quality.
• Validate payment flows, transaction scenarios, and system integrations with internal and external partners.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes.
• Support release activities by ensuring product readiness and quality standards.
• Analyze production issues and assist teams with root cause investigation.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in software quality assurance or software testing.
• Experience working with web applications, APIs, and integrated systems.
• Understanding of software testing methodologies and QA processes.
• Experience with API testing tools such as Postman or similar tools.
• Basic knowledge of SQL and ability to validate data in databases.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Experience with bug tracking and test management tools (Jira, TestRail, or similar).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced fintech environment.
• Good communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Nice to Have:

• Experience in banking, payment systems, or fintech projects.
• Knowledge of payment processing flows (card payments, 3D Secure, transaction lifecycle).
• Experience with automation testing tools (Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, etc.).
• Understanding of REST APIs and system integrations.
