Head of IFRS And Finance Control Division

Veyseloglu Group of Companies is announcing the vacancy for the position of "Head of IFRS and Financial Control Division”.

The Audit & Assurance / IFRS Division Head will lead the company’s financial reporting, IFRS implementation, external audit management, and assurance processes. The role requires strong technical accounting expertise, leadership capabilities, and hands-on experience in managing complex reporting and audit engagements.

Key Requirements

Education & Professional Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
• ACCA qualification or partly qualified ACCA is highly preferred.
• Additional certifications such as CPA, DipIFR, or equivalent are considered an advantage.

Professional Experience

• Minimum 5–8 years of relevant experience in accounting, audit, assurance, or financial reporting.
• At least 3–4+ years of experience in a Big4 audit or advisory firm.
• Strong industry reporting experience, preferably within large or multinational companies.
• Proven experience in managing external audits within a corporate environment.
• Experience leading IFRS implementation, financial statement preparation, and technical accounting matters.
• Previous team management or department leadership experience is preferred.

Technical Skills

• Strong knowledge of IFRS standards and financial reporting requirements.
• Deep understanding of audit processes and risk assessment.
• Experience preparing consolidated financial statements.
• Ability to analyze complex accounting transactions and provide technical accounting guidance.
• Familiarity with regulatory reporting requirements and compliance frameworks.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP/accounting systems.

Leadership & Soft Skills

• Strong leadership and people management skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work under pressure.
• High level of accuracy, integrity, and professional ethics.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the IFRS and financial reporting function of the company.
• Oversee preparation and review of standalone and consolidated financial statements.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS and local regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate and manage external audit processes and relationships with auditors.
• Provide technical accounting guidance to finance and business teams.
• Monitor new IFRS developments and assess their impact on the business.
• Improve financial control processes and assurance frameworks.
• Lead and mentor the audit/reporting team.
• Support management with financial analysis, reporting, and risk-related matters.
• Participate in strategic finance and compliance initiatives.

Preferred Background

• Experience working in fast-paced or multinational environments.
• Exposure to group reporting and consolidation processes.
• Experience interacting with senior management, regulators, and external stakeholders.
• Background in sectors with complex reporting structures is an advantage.
