We are seeking an experienced TV Director (Live News) for a senior role within an international media project in Baku.

The TV Director will lead live news programmes from the PCR and take responsibility for the visual execution of broadcasts in real time.

Key Responsibilities:

• Direct live news bulletins, breaking news and special programmes
• Lead the PCR team during live broadcasts
• Coordinate vision mixing, cameras, sound, graphics, playout and teleprompter operations
• Prepare programmes together with editors and producers
• Review running orders, graphics and sources before broadcast
• Maintain consistent visual standards across programmes
• Direct multi-camera studios, including robotic cameras, video walls and virtual/AR graphics
• Manage unexpected technical and production issues during live broadcasts
• Train and coach PCR team members
• Review broadcasts and identify areas for improvement

Requirements:

• Minimum 8 years of experience directing live television
• At least 5 years directing live news
• Strong experience with breaking news and extended live coverage
• Proven multi-camera studio experience
• Experience with robotic cameras and live graphics
• Knowledge of studio automation systems is an advantage
• Native Azerbaijani and good working English
• Ability to remain calm and make fast decisions during live broadcasts
