We are seeking an Operations Engineer to support our Subsea product line, delivering engineering solutions that meet client requirements, industry standards, and operational excellence expectations.
This is an exciting opportunity to work on a wide variety of projects, collaborating with operations, manufacturing, and engineering teams to develop equipment and systems used in challenging offshore environments.
As an Operations Engineer, you will play a key role in supporting the design, development, and ongoing improvement of Subsea Landing String equipment.
Key Activities and Accountabilities
- Providing engineering support to operational and project teams.
- Developing and reviewing engineering designs, drawings, and technical documentation.
- Producing engineering deliverables including:
- Design drawings
- Bills of Materials (BOMs)
- Test procedures
- Technical reports
- Manufacturing documentation
- Performing engineering calculations and analyses to validate designs
- Designing equipment that is safe, reliable, cost-effective, and compliant with applicable standards and certification requirements
- Using 2D and 3D CAD software to create and maintain engineering designs
- Managing engineering documentation within the Product Data Management (PDM) system
- Participating in design reviews, project meetings, and technical discussions
- Supporting the training and development of engineering and operational personnel
- Reviewing and providing technical approval for supplier and contractor invoices
- Managing Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) and ensuring documentation changes are processed through approved workflows in a timely manner
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, reliability, and operational efficiency
Job Knowledge and Qualifications
- A degree in Mechanical Engineering or relevant engineering discipline
- A minimum of 2 years' experience using computer-aided engineering techniques, including 2D and 3D modelling
- Experience producing engineering drawings and technical documentation
- Knowledge of engineering standards, systems, and best practices
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- A proactive approach with a commitment to quality and safety
- Experience within the oil & gas, energy industries
