Conduct periodic inspections of warehouses, laydown areas, storage facilities, and fabrication locations to assess equipment condition and preservation effectiveness. Monitor preservation activities for static and rotating equipment, including shaft rotation, humidity control, desiccant replacement, protective coatings, and temporary preservation systems. Verify equipment protective covers, end caps, flange protectors, packaging, and environmental controls remain in place and effective throughout the storage period. Ensure preservation records, inspection logs, and maintenance registers are maintained accurately and are available for audit and handover purposes. Participate in receipt inspections and verify equipment condition, certification, traceability, transportation damage status, and preservation requirements upon delivery. Identify equipment deterioration, corrosion, contamination, moisture ingress, or preservation deficiencies and ensure timely corrective actions are implemented. Verify preservation status is maintained during installation, mechanical completion, and commissioning until final handover to Operations.Testing & Commissioning ReadinessWitness and verify:Pressure testing and leak testing activities.Functional and performance testing.Mechanical completion inspections.Punch list generation and close-out verification.Pre-commissioning and commissioning activities.Confirm completion and accuracy of inspection records and test documentation prior to system handover.Materials & TraceabilityVerify certification, material traceability, and identification of mechanical equipment and components.Ensure preservation requirements are maintained throughout fabrication, storage, and installation phases.Participate in receipt inspections and material verification activities.Non-Conformance ManagementIdentify quality deficiencies and non-conformances.Support NCR investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation.Monitor closure of NCRs and quality actions within agreed timelines.Review contractor deviation and concession requests related to mechanical systems.Contractor OversightMonitor contractor and subcontractor quality activities.Verify competency and qualification of inspection personnel performing mechanical inspections.Review contractor reports and quality records for completeness and accuracy.Identify areas requiring increased surveillance or quality intervention.Documentation & ReportingComplete daily quality surveillance reports.Maintain inspection records and quality documentation.Support quality KPI reporting and trending activities.Provide input to handover dossiers and final project documentation.
