Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Math Teacher role based in Baku. The Math Teacher will plan and deliver lessons aligned with the Ontario curriculum, using a variety of teaching strategies to support diverse learning needs. Responsibilities include assessing student progress, providing regular feedback, maintaining accurate records, and preparing students for OSSD requirements and assessments. The role involves creating an inclusive, classroom environment, managing behavior positively, and collaborating with colleagues, administrators, and families to support student achievement. The Math Teacher will also participate in school events, professional development, and curriculum planning as required.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of mathematics content across relevant grade levels and familiarity with the Ontario curriculum.
• Ability to design engaging lesson plans, apply differentiated instruction, and use varied assessment strategies.
• Effective classroom management skills and the ability to create an inclusive, supportive learning environment.
• Excellent communication skills, including clear verbal and written English, and the ability to work collaboratively with students, families, and staff.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mathematics, Education, or a related field; teaching qualification or certification is highly preferred.
• Experience teaching in an international or bilingual school setting is an asset.
• Comfort with educational technology and digital tools to support instruction and assessment.
• Commitment to ongoing professional learning and culturally responsive teaching practices.
