Position Summary

The Operations Manager is responsible for the planning, coordination, and successful execution of all drone projects, ensuring they are completed safely, on time, within budget, and according to required technical standards.

The role coordinates pilots, technical teams, equipment, logistics, permissions, and client requirements from project confirmation through final delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and coordinate daily drone operations and active projects.
Assign pilots, technical personnel, equipment, vehicles, and other resources.
Prepare project schedules, mobilization plans, and operational requirements.
Coordinate UAV missions for surveying, LiDAR, photogrammetry, thermal, multispectral, and inspection projects.
Ensure required flight permissions, site access, risk assessments, and operational documentation are in place.
Manage the operational readiness of drones, sensors, GNSS equipment, batteries, vehicles, and field equipment.
Ensure equipment maintenance, calibration, servicing, and records are kept up to date.
Ensure field teams follow company HSE procedures and applicable aviation regulations.
Monitor fieldwork and data quality to minimize re-flights and unnecessary project delays.
Coordinate transfer of field data to GIS, CAD, surveying, and processing teams.
Manage project logistics, including transportation, accommodation, equipment movement, and subcontractors.
Monitor project progress, operational costs, and resource utilization.
Act as the main operational contact with clients during project execution.
Identify operational risks, delays, or technical problems and implement corrective actions.
Provide regular project and operational status reports to management.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

3+ years of experience in operations, project management, UAV services, surveying, engineering, construction, or a related technical field.
Experience managing field teams and multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
Good understanding of UAV operations, safety, and field logistics.
Experience with LiDAR, photogrammetry, surveying, GIS, thermal inspection, or similar technologies is an advantage.
Strong communication and client-management skills.
Ability to work independently and make practical decisions under pressure.
English required; Azerbaijani and Russian are strong advantages.
