AEL Specialist Electrical Distributors is a leading international provider of specialized electrical equipment and engineering solutions to the global Oil & Gas, Marine, and Industrial sectors. Operating from our regional hub in Baku, our office drives business development and operations across the Caspian, Middle East, and Africa regions. We are seeking a proactive and detail-driven Logistics & Expediting Specialist to join our operations team. In this role, you will take ownership of open purchase orders, drive on-time deliveries from international manufacturers/suppliers, and coordinate freight forwarding and customs documentation from origin to site.

Key Responsibilities:

End-to-End Expediting: Actively monitor manufacturing milestones, production schedules, and dispatch readiness with global suppliers.

Freight & Transport Coordination: Arrange multimodal shipments (air, road, sea, express courier) in collaboration with international freight forwarders, selecting optimal routes based on urgency and cost.

Documentation & Customs Compliance: Review, generate, and check shipping documentation — including Commercial Invoices, Packing Lists, Certificates of Conformity/Origin, CMRs, AWBs etc — ensuring smooth order collections, import/export clearance.

Order Tracking & Reporting: Maintain up-to-date tracking logs and status reports within internal systems, providing regular, transparent delivery updates to our internal sales team and customers around the world.

Discrepancy Resolution: Promptly identify and resolve delays in shipments and transits with solution based approach.

Requirements:

Education: Degree in related field is an advantage.

Language Skills: Professional working proficiency in English (written and verbal) is essential for liaising with overseas suppliers and partners. Azerbaijani is required; Russian is an asset.

Experience: Minimal relative experience is an advantage, but fresh graduates with high aptitude and relevant internship exposure are strongly encouraged to apply.

Technical & Commerncial skills:

Ability to work in MS Office, particularly Excel (data analysis, status trackers, formulas).

Familiarity with Incoterms and basic international shipping workflows is a distinct advantage.
