Role Description The Tax Accountant is a full-time, on-site role based in Baku City. This role is responsible for preparing and reviewing tax returns, calculating tax liabilities, and ensuring compliance with local tax laws and regulations. Daily tasks include maintaining accurate tax records, analyzing financial data, reconciling tax accounts, and supporting monthly and annual closing activities. The Tax Accountant will monitor changes in tax legislation, prepare tax reports and documentation for internal and external audits, and collaborate with accounting and finance colleagues to optimize tax positions and reduce risk.
Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of tax accounting principles, local tax legislation, and regulatory compliance.
• Proficiency in general accounting, financial reporting, and reconciliation of tax-related accounts.
• Experience using accounting and tax software, spreadsheets, and other financial analysis tools.
• Effective analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with high attention to detail.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional tax or accounting certifications are an advantage.
• Relevant experience in tax accounting or a similar finance role; experience within a service-oriented company is beneficial.
• Ability to work on-site in Baku City, manage deadlines, and handle confidential financial information responsibly.
