Baş maliyyə direktoru (CFO)

IRES is supporting a major state media transformation project with high visibility at senior government level and is looking for an experienced Chief Financial Officer to lead the organization’s Finance function through a large-scale modernization.

Reporting directly to the organization’s top management, the CFO will take full ownership of financial strategy, operations, reporting, controls and finance transformation.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead the Finance function, including financial strategy, planning, budgeting, cash management and daily operations
• Redesign financial processes, controls and management reporting
• Lead the implementation of a new ERP system covering procurement, warehouse, fixed assets, payroll, accounting and reporting
• Introduce modern cost allocation and controlling methodologies
• Oversee month-end and year-end closing and the preparation of financial statements
• Manage statutory reporting and reporting to relevant state authorities
• Maintain robust internal controls and lead internal and external audits
• Lead, train and develop the Finance team throughout the transformation
• Manage cross-functional change and collaborate with senior stakeholders

Requirements:

• Minimum 10 years of finance experience, including financial reporting, management and senior leadership roles
• Hands-on experience in finance transformation and ERP implementation
• Experience with state-budget institutions and knowledge of their reporting, payment and compliance requirements
• Proven ability to modernize or restructure a Finance function
• Strong leadership and stakeholder-management skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or Business
• Master’s degree and ACCA, CIMA or CPA qualification will be considered an advantage
• Fluency in Azerbaijani and English; Russian is an advantage
• Azerbaijani citizenship
