Project Control Lead

Join a Large-Scale International Oil & Gas Project!

We are hiring Project Control Leads for our Offshore and Onshore packages as part of the Gas Field Development. These key roles are essential for the success of a $4 billion CAPEX offshore project and an $800 million onshore package.

Key Responsibilities

As a Project Control Lead, you will be responsible for:

✅ Managing contractual, financial, and planning aspects of the packages:

• Offshore: SURF, SAPL (4 wells, 500m water depth).
• Onshore: Gas treatment plant (450 MMSCFD), pipelines, and brownfield integration.

✅ Controlling budgets and costs:

• Rigorous monitoring of expenditures, financial forecasting, and management of contract variations (Variation Orders).
• Resource optimization to prevent budget overruns.

✅ Coordinating schedules:

• Use of tools like Primavera P6 to track project progress.
• Synchronization of activities among various contractors (EPSCC, local subcontractors).

✅ Managing cross-functional interfaces:

• Collaboration with QA/QC, Technical, HR, Finance, and Legal teams.
• Ensuring smooth communication between stakeholders (contractors, project management, partners).

✅ Administering documentation:

• Tracking the Master Document Register (MDR) and validating deliverables.
• Preparing progress reports for management.

✅ Managing risks and audits:

• Identifying and mitigating technical, financial, and HSE risks.
• Participating in internal and external audits.

Experience:

• 15 to 20 years of experience in major Oil & Gas projects.
• 10+ years in contract management, cost control, and planning.
• Experience with international EPC contractors (experience with Chinese contractors is a plus).

Key Skills:

• Proficiency in tools: Primavera P6, SAP, MS Project.
• Knowledge of Oil & Gas standards and procedures (e.g., DGEP, TDO, PJC).
• Strong negotiation, reporting, and multicultural team management skills.
• Leadership and ability to work under pressure in an international environment.

Languages:

• Fluent English is mandatory (French is a plus).

Education:

• Engineering degree or equivalent.

Additional Assets:

• Experience in offshore/onshore project management.
• Knowledge of Azerbaijani regulations and HSE challenges.
