- Technical Estimation: Prepare itemized quotes by breaking down materials, hardware, labor, and transport based on architectural drawings.
- Production Alignment: Interpret shop drawings to identify manufacturing risks and confirm feasibility with the Production Manager.
- System Management: Maintain cost databases and track project revisions using Odoo and Monday.com.
- Cross-Functional Liaison: Coordinate with Procurement for material pricing and the Design team for technical clarifications.
- Variance Analysis: Compare quoted vs. actual production costs to improve future pricing accuracy.
The Essentials
- Education: Degree/Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Interior Design, Architecture, or Construction Management.
- Experience: 2–3 years in furniture manufacturing, construction, or a related production field.
- Technical Proficiency: Advanced Excel skills and the ability to read complex architectural drawings.
- Software: Experience with ERP/Project tools (Odoo/Monday.com) and familiarity with design software (ArchiCAD/SketchUp).
- Deep knowledge of furniture materials (wood, finishes, hardware).
- A process-driven mindset with strong commercial awareness.
- High accountability and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
