Position Overview

• The Construction Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing assigned construction projects from initiation to completion, ensuring timely delivery, cost efficiency, quality, and compliance with safety and contractual requirements. The role involves managing site operations, coordinating construction teams and subcontractors, overseeing technical execution, monitoring project progress and resources, and resolving construction-related issues throughout the project lifecycle.

Core Responsibilities

• Support tendering activities by reviewing project scopes, drawings, and specifications, identifying discrepancies, and preparing Requests for Information (RFIs).
• Contribute to subcontractor work package definition, constructability reviews, and technical optimization of construction solutions.
• Lead assigned construction projects from mobilization to completion, ensuring alignment with project scope, schedule, budget, and quality requirements.
• Plan and coordinate site operations, construction sequencing, mobilization, logistics, and resource allocation.
• Supervise construction teams, subcontractors, and vendors, coordinating Project Management, Commercial, Planning, Engineering, Procurement, QA/QC, and HSE teams.
• Monitor project progress, productivity, manpower utilization, and resource efficiency, implementing corrective actions where necessary.
• Review and approve construction methodologies, method statements, work programs, and sequencing plans.
• Oversee construction execution, including temporary works, site measurements, and as-built documentation, ensuring compliance with approved drawings and specifications.
• Resolve technical issues and coordination clashes between civil, MEP, and architectural disciplines.
• Identify and manage construction risks, claims, variations, and potential cost or schedule impacts in coordination with relevant teams.
• Ensure compliance with contractual requirements, quality standards, applicable regulations, and HSE requirements across construction sites.
• Oversee snagging, testing, commissioning, and final handover to ensure timely project completion.
• Drive continuous improvement and promote best practices across construction operations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in construction project execution, including managing multiple site teams and subcontractors, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
• Good working knowledge of MS Project, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office.
• Strong understanding of construction methods, techniques, processes, HSE standards, applicable regulations, and contract management principles.
• Excellent leadership, decision-making, and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Excellent organizational, planning, and time-management skills.
• Fluency in Azerbaijani and a good command of English.
• Proficiency in Russian is an advantage.
