Role Description The Editorial Board Member – Journal of Green Economy and Optimization Research (JGEOR) is a full-time, on-site role based in Baku City. The individual will participate in the peer-review process by evaluating submitted manuscripts, selecting qualified reviewers, and making recommendations on acceptance, revision, or rejection. Daily responsibilities include overseeing the quality and relevance of content, ensuring adherence to editorial guidelines, and maintaining ethical publishing standards. The role involves collaborating with other board members to shape editorial policies, identify emerging topics, and plan special issues. The Editorial Board Member will also engage with the academic community, contribute to outreach initiatives, and support continuous improvement of editorial workflows.
Qualifications
- Strong expertise and research background in green economy, sustainability, optimization, or closely related fields.
- Demonstrated experience with academic publishing, peer review processes, and scholarly writing.
- Ability to critically evaluate research quality, methodology, and relevance to the journal’s scope.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; additional language proficiency is an asset.
- Commitment to ethical standards, academic integrity, and impartial decision-making.
- Advanced degree (PhD or equivalent) in economics, environmental studies, optimization, engineering, or a related discipline preferred.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple manuscripts and deadlines.
- Willingness to collaborate with an international editorial team and engage with diverse authors and reviewers.
