Get to know each student in the homeroom;
Be available and approachable, setting tones of friendship;
Encourage students to feel “important” and to be moral persons;
Monitor behavior, advize and encourage observance of the School Policies;
Be knowledgeable of pupil services programs offered by the school;
Keep accurate records of attendance;
Take notice of each student’s report and academic progress;
Write comments (logs) regarding student`s progress and behavior on a weekly basis;
Give feedback to the Administration when issues of importance have been discussed;
Dialogue with Administration, Parents, or with the student’s other teachers when there is concern;
Report any student with a pattern of late arrival;
Report to the Psychologist any student with a pattern of behavior problems.
