Spektr Group LLC is seeking a skilled and motivated Hydraulic Mechanic to join our Hydraulic Services Department.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, assembly, and testing of hydraulic equipment and systems used in the oil & gas, marine, and industrial sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of hydraulic systems, equipment, and components.
• Assemble, disassemble, and overhaul hydraulic cylinders, pumps, motors, valves, and other hydraulic components.
• Carry out hydraulic hose fabrication, assembly, installation, and replacement in accordance with technical specifications.
• Identify hydraulic system faults, including pressure loss, leakage, contamination, and component failures.
• Conduct hydraulic pressure and functional testing following approved procedures.
• Read and interpret hydraulic schematics, technical drawings, and equipment manuals.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on hydraulic equipment.
• Inspect hydraulic hoses, fittings, connections, and components for wear, damage, and compliance with applicable standards.
• Support on-site hydraulic maintenance and repair activities at client facilities, including offshore and industrial locations when required.
• Complete maintenance records, inspection checklists, test reports, and relevant technical documentation.
• Ensure all work is performed in accordance with company QHSE procedures and client requirements.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and workshop areas in safe and operational condition.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Technical or vocational education in Mechanical Engineering, Hydraulics, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 2–3 years of practical experience in hydraulic equipment maintenance and repair, preferably within the oil & gas or industrial sector.
• Good understanding of hydraulic principles, systems, and components.
• Practical experience in hydraulic hose assembly, fitting installation, and pressure testing.
• Ability to read hydraulic diagrams and technical documentation.
• Knowledge of hydraulic pumps, cylinders, control valves, and associated equipment.
• Experience using mechanical tools, measuring instruments, and hydraulic testing equipment.
• Understanding of workplace safety requirements, including pressure safety and isolation procedures.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a technical team.
• Willingness to work at client sites when required.

Preferred Skills

• Experience working with offshore or oilfield hydraulic equipment.
• Familiarity with hydraulic power units (HPUs), hydraulic torque equipment, and high-pressure hydraulic systems.
• Experience in hydraulic hose crimping and assembly.
• Knowledge of preventive maintenance practices.
• Relevant technical training or certifications.
• Basic English language skills for reading technical manuals and documentation.
