Role Description The Senior UAV Technician role at "Azərsilah" QSC / "Azersilah" CJSCo is a full-time, on-site position based in Baku. The Senior UAV Technician is responsible for performing advanced maintenance, inspection, troubleshooting, and repair of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and associated ground support equipment. Day-to-day tasks include diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues, executing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, and ensuring all UAV systems meet operational and safety standards. The role involves supporting flight operations, preparing UAVs for missions, documenting maintenance activities, and collaborating with engineering, operations, and safety teams to optimize UAV performance. The Senior UAV Technician also contributes to continuous improvement of maintenance procedures, trains junior technicians, and adheres to all relevant regulatory and company guidelines.

Qualifications

• Strong technical skills in UAV systems, including airframe, propulsion, avionics, navigation, and communication components.
• Experience with diagnostic tools, test equipment, and maintenance management software used for UAV inspection and repair.
• Knowledge of aviation safety standards, maintenance procedures, and relevant regulations applicable to unmanned systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, maintenance manuals, and engineering documentation.
• Proven experience in a similar technician or engineering role, preferably with military-grade or industrial UAV platforms.
• Bachelor’s or technical degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Avionics, or a related field; relevant certifications are an advantage.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to make sound decisions under time and operational constraints.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and mentor junior staff.
• Ability to work on-site in Baku, including occasional extended hours and field work as required by flight operations.
• Working proficiency in relevant languages (e.g., Azerbaijani and/or English) for documentation, reporting, and technical communication.
