About the Company

AZEX Trucking is a U.S.-focused trucking and logistics company operating with a professional team in Azerbaijan and a fleet operating in the United States.

We focus on safe, compliant, and efficient trucking operations. Our Fleet Department works closely with Safety, ELD, Dispatch, Updater, and Accounting teams to ensure that company vehicles are properly maintained, documented, and operational.

Role Description

The Fleet Specialist will support the day-to-day management of the company's U.S. trucking fleet.

The role involves monitoring vehicle status, maintenance, registrations, permits, equipment, fuel-related systems, and fleet documentation, while coordinating with internal departments and external service providers.

Key Responsibilities

• Support daily fleet management operations for the U.S. trucking fleet
• Monitor truck status, availability, mileage, and operational information
• Maintain accurate vehicle records and fleet databases
• Track vehicle registration, permits, inspections, and document expiration dates
• Assist with PTI and maintenance tracking and follow up on upcoming or overdue maintenance
• Monitor vehicle maintenance requests and coordinate with maintenance providers
• Track equipment, stickers, permits, and other vehicle-related items
• Monitor fuel cards, PrePass, and other fleet-related services
• Maintain accurate records of trucks, equipment, and assigned drivers
• Work with Motive and other fleet management systems to monitor vehicle information
• Review vehicle-related alerts and report issues to the appropriate department
• Assist with Amazon Relay and other customer-related vehicle requirements
• Support compliance with vehicle requirements for different states and operating areas
• Assist with CARB / Clean Truck Check and other applicable vehicle compliance requirements
• Coordinate with Safety regarding vehicle compliance and documentation
• Coordinate with ELD regarding vehicle and device-related issues
• Communicate with Dispatch and Updater regarding truck availability and operational status
• Communicate with maintenance shops, vendors, and service providers when required
• Prepare fleet reports, checklists, and tracking sheets
• Identify missing, expired, or incorrect fleet information and follow up for resolution
• Escalate urgent vehicle, maintenance, or compliance issues to the Fleet Manager / Head of Department
• Continuously develop knowledge of U.S. trucking fleet operations and requirements

Requirements

• No previous U.S. trucking experience required — we will provide training and support
• Previous experience in fleet management, logistics, transportation, or vehicle operations is an advantage but not required
• Good spoken and written English
• Azerbaijani — fluent
• Russian — an advantage
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work with large amounts of information
• Good organizational and communication skills
• Ability to track deadlines and follow up on pending tasks
• Ability to identify missing, incorrect, or expired information
• Responsible, proactive, and willing to learn
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Willingness to learn U.S. trucking, fleet, and vehicle compliance requirements
• Ability to work in a fast-paced operational environment
