Senior Python Backend Developer (Remote – Projects for US market)

Etavista is a technology-driven Data Analytics & logistics platform focused on building enterprise solutions. We are building intelligent systems for logistics platform, route optimization, driver management, API integration, real-time tracking, and logistics automation.

We are looking for a Senior Python Backend Developer to help design, build, and scale the backend architecture powering the Etavista platform.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable backend services using Python.
• Build and maintain REST APIs and service integrations.
• Develop backend services for order management, dispatching, driver management, pricing, payments, tracking, and notifications.
• Build systems supporting AI-powered scheduling, route optimization, and driver matching.
• Design reliable asynchronous/background processing workflows.
• Integrate third-party logistics, mapping, payment, CRM, messaging, and enterprise APIs.
• Design and optimize relational database models and complex queries.
• Improve application performance, scalability, security, and reliability.
• Develop microservices and event-driven backend components.
• Implement automated testing, monitoring, logging, and error handling.
• Review code and establish backend engineering standards.
• Work closely with frontend, mobile, QA, DevOps, product, and operations teams.
• Participate in architecture and technical design decisions.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional Python backend development experience with real projects on production.
• Strong experience with FastAPI, Django, or Flask.
• Advanced knowledge of REST API design and integration.
• Strong experience with PostgreSQL or similar relational databases.
• Experience with Redis and caching strategies.
• Experience with asynchronous processing such as Celery, RabbitMQ, Kafka, or equivalent technologies.
• Strong understanding of microservices and distributed system architecture.
• Experience with Docker and cloud deployments.
• Experience with AWS services and production cloud environments.
• Experience with Git, CI/CD, automated testing, logging, and monitoring.
• Strong understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and clean-code principles.

Preferred Experience

• Logistics, transportation, e-commerce, marketplaces, or supply-chain platforms.
• AI/LLM integrations and AI-agent workflows.
• Real-time location tracking and WebSockets.
• High-volume scheduling and matching systems.
• SaaS and multi-tenant platform architecture.
• Experience building highly available systems handling large numbers of concurrent transactions.

What We're Looking For

• We are looking for someone who is more than a feature developer. The ideal candidate can take a business requirement, understand the operational workflow, design the backend architecture, identify edge cases, and deliver a reliable production solution.
• You should be comfortable owning backend systems end-to-end, making architectural decisions, improving existing systems, and building technology that directly impacts real-world logistics operations.
