Operational Resilience Senior Specialist (Security Department/Staff /Hybrid)

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure compliance with data center security and operational procedures, monitor their implementation, and maintain adherence to organizational policies and regulatory requirements.
• Develop and implement standardized procedures for equipment installation, relocation, and decommissioning, ensuring proper asset tagging and technical documentation.
• Supervise the activities of internal teams and contractors within the data center environment, ensuring security, accountability, and compliance with established standards.
• Ensure the resilience and redundancy of power, cooling, network, and security systems; collaborate with engineering teams to optimize fault tolerance, validate failover processes, and prevent critical vulnerabilities.
• Manage and support audits, inspections, and compliance reviews to ensure alignment with industry best practices and regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with ERM (Enterprise Risk Management) and BCM teams to develop and manage operational continuity frameworks, ensuring infrastructure readiness and alignment with the organization’s risk appetite.
• Ensure the optimization and timely maintenance of security and environmental monitoring systems, including CCTV, access control, fire safety, water leakage, humidity, and temperature monitoring platforms.
• Implement monitoring panels, health-check processes, and automated alert mechanisms for CCTV, access control, fire suppression, and other alarm systems to maintain infrastructure continuity.
• Oversee the development and enhancement of backup and recovery strategies, validate recovery procedures through testing, and ensure the reliability of supporting infrastructure.

Required Experience, Knowledge & Technical Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Information Technology, Security Management & Audit, or a related field (Master’s degree is an advantage).
• International certifications such as CompTIA Network+, Security+, ITIL Practitioner, PMP, CCNA, ISO 22301 Lead Auditor, or similar are considered an advantage.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Azerbaijani and English; Russian language proficiency is preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a lead specialist in IT or security solution integration and IT projects.
• Experience in incident management, operational risk assessment, or crisis management is considered an advantage.
• Familiarity with DCIM and strong knowledge of data center infrastructure, including power, cooling, fire safety, and networking systems.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to rapidly assess complex situations and respond effectively.
• Excellent organizational and project management skills, including experience with documentation such as procedures, reports, and incident records.
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and coordinate contractor activities.
• Willingness to learn, adapt to change, and grow into a role with increasing responsibility.
