About Moonwake

Moonwake is a private equity investment company focused on creating long-term value through strategic investments and active portfolio management. We are seeking a highly motivated Finance Manager to support financial oversight, reporting, analysis, and performance monitoring across our investment portfolio.

Position Summary

The Finance Manager will play a key role in overseeing financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis for Moonwake and its portfolio companies. The successful candidate will work closely with investment and management teams to ensure high-quality financial information, support decision-making, and strengthen financial controls across the group.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Management & Reporting

• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual management reports.
• Monitor key financial and operational KPIs across portfolio companies.
• Support preparation of Board and shareholder reporting materials.
• Ensure accuracy, consistency, and timeliness of financial information.

Budgeting & Forecasting

• Coordinate annual budgeting and periodic forecasting processes.
• Perform variance analysis and identify key business drivers.
• Develop financial models and scenario analyses to support strategic decisions.

Portfolio Monitoring

• Review financial performance of portfolio companies and identify risks and improvement opportunities.
• Support portfolio company management teams in enhancing financial planning, reporting, and control processes.

Internal Controls & Compliance

• Strengthen financial controls and reporting standards across the portfolio.
• Coordinate external audits and support audit processes.
• Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and internal policies.

Transaction Support

• Support financial due diligence processes for potential investments and acquisitions.
• Assist with valuation analyses, financial reviews, and post-investment performance tracking.
• Participate in special projects and strategic initiatives as required.

Qualifications

Required

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
• 3–4 years of relevant experience in Finance, Audit, Transaction Services, Corporate Finance, Private Equity, or Investment Management.
• Strong financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting skills.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial modeling.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication skills in English and Azerbaijani.

Preferred

• Experience with a Big 4 accounting firm.
• ACCA, CFA, CIMA, or equivalent professional qualification (completed or in progress).
• Experience working with investment companies, holding structures, or portfolio businesses.
• Knowledge of IFRS and financial consolidation processes.
