Sales Director

Role Description The Sales Director is a full-time, on-site role based in Baku, responsible for leading the sales function for RCT’s railway electrification, SCADA/automation, and substation solutions. This role oversees the development and execution of sales strategies, manages the sales pipeline, and drives revenue growth across existing and new markets. Day-to-day tasks include identifying and pursuing business opportunities, building relationships with key clients and stakeholders, coordinating with technical teams on proposals and bids, and ensuring high standards of customer service throughout the sales cycle. The Sales Director will set performance targets, guide and support the sales team, prepare sales forecasts and reports, and represent the company at client meetings, industry events, and negotiations.

Qualifications

• Proven expertise in Sales and Sales Operations, including managing pipelines, forecasting, and closing complex deals.
• Strong background in Customer Service, with the ability to maintain long-term client relationships and ensure high satisfaction.
• Demonstrated Team Management experience, including mentoring, performance management, and building collaborative sales teams.
• Business Development skills, with a track record of identifying new markets, partnerships, and strategic growth opportunities.
• Experience in electrical infrastructure, industrial works or related engineering sectors is highly beneficial.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with fluency in Azerbaijani; knowledge of languages is an advantage.
• Ability to work on-site in Baku, travel as needed, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional technical and project teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree or relevant professional certifications are a plus.
