О роли
Role Description This full-time, on-site Tax Accountant role is based in Baku, Azerbaijan with UHY. The Tax Accountant will prepare and review tax returns, ensure timely and accurate tax filings, and support tax compliance activities for corporate and individual clients.
Responsibilities
Ensure accurate and complete accounting records in accordance with applicable legislation and company policies;
Maintain and monitor bank, cash, and other financial transactions;
Prepare and verify electronic invoices, invoices, and other accounting documents;
Maintain accounts receivable and accounts payable records and prepare reconciliation statements;
Prepare tax returns and other reports required by government authorities;
Calculate salaries, vacation pay, business trip allowances, and other employee-related payments;
Maintain accounting records for fixed assets, inventory, and materials;
Record import and export transactions and calculate the cost of goods/services;
Participate in the preparation of financial statements (Balance Sheet, Profit and Loss Statement, Cash Flow Statement, etc.);
Respond to inquiries from tax authorities and other government bodies and handle related correspondence;
Perform accounting operations in ERP systems, 1C, and government electronic portals;
Ensure proper filing and archiving of accounting documentation;
Perform other accounting and finance-related duties assigned by management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics;
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in accounting;
- Knowledge of the tax legislation, labor legislation, and accounting regulations of the Republic of Azerbaijan;
- Strong proficiency in 1C 8.3, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel;
- ACCA papers are considered an advantage;
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, integrity, responsibility, and ability to work efficiently;
- Good teamwork and time management skills.
