Prime Cotton has more than 30 years of experience in Azerbaijan’s non-oil economy. We are growing, and stockpiling cotton in 15 out of 20 cotton cultivating regions of the country with further processing at the 18 ginneries. Cotton fiber processed at the ginneries of the company is medium fibrous and has a specific color that differentiates it from American cotton with a yellowy tint. Since 1998, Azerbaijan has adopted new standards for cotton fiber approved by Liverpool Cotton Association, in which Prime Cotton has had associate membership status since 2003. Currently, the company is engaged in the development of the textile industry in Azerbaijan. Cotton yarn production uses “open-end” technology and has high demand by domestic and CIS country markets. In 2006, Prime Cotton completed a new oil and fat production facility in Shirvan, equipped with the latest technology for oil processing and refinery. This factory produces various items from cotton seeds, such as cotton oil, milled cake, and soapstock. In addition, this factory has linter and refined oil production lines. Products for export: • Cotton fiber • Wastes of cotton fiber, such as gin motes, lint, and cotton down. • Cotton yarn of different sizes -“open end” • Cotton oil • Cotton milled cake - very valuable non-GMO feed mill raw material.
