What You'll Do:

• Ensure high availability (HA), performance, and scalability of mission-critical Oracle and PostgreSQL database environments across the telecom infrastructure.
• Administer, maintain, and enhance Oracle RAC, Oracle Active Data Guard, Exadata, and PostgreSQL HA (e.g., Patroni, streaming replication) systems.
• Oversee the installation, configuration, and continual improvement of database software and supporting tools.
• Design and implement physical storage structures and plan optimal capacity usage based on performance and growth forecasts.
• Perform daily, weekly, and scheduled database maintenance, monitoring, and proactive planning.
• Register and manage system users, including user roles and privileges based on access policies.
• Lead database development projects, including schema implementation, object design, and deployment of new services into production.
• Drive improvements in database quality, performance, and operational efficiency by tuning SQL, indexing strategies, and optimizing execution plans.
• Develop, test, and maintain automation scripts for database maintenance, statistics gathering, health checks, and intelligent alerting.
• Monitor and manage archiving processes to ensure data lifecycle compliance.
• Ensure effective database backup and recovery strategies using RMAN for Oracle and pg_basebackup/WAL archiving for PostgreSQL.
• Manage end-to-end support for Exadata: platform dimensioning, capacity management, issue resolution, upgrades, and coordination with vendor support.
• Collaborate with technical vendors to resolve critical incidents, apply recommended patches, and execute configuration changes.
• Participate in platform evaluations and infrastructure readiness for implementing new enterprise-level database solutions.
• Perform reverse engineering of data models from SQL and live databases to support documentation and reengineering efforts.
• Support data integrity and consistency across multiple interlinked systems and platforms.

What You'll Bring:

• 5+ years of hands-on experience as a Senior DBA with deep expertise in Oracle (including Exadata) and PostgreSQL in enterprise or telecom environments.
• Strong command of high availability architectures (Oracle RAC, Data Guard, PostgreSQL clustering solutions).
• Proficient in SQL, PL/SQL, shell scripting (bash, Python), and automation of routine DBA tasks.
• Experience managing large-scale database environments with strict uptime SLAs.
• Expertise in backup and recovery processes, disaster recovery planning, and incident resolution.
• Familiarity with monitoring tools (Oracle Enterprise Manager, Prometheus, Zabbix, Grafana, etc.) and performance tuning.
• Solid understanding of storage systems, tablespace management, partitioning, and system dimensioning.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team and communicate with vendors and stakeholders.
• Fluent in reading and writing technical documentation in English.

Desired Skills:

• Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) and/or PostgreSQL Certified Professional certification.
• Experience with Oracle Exadata troubleshooting, upgrades, and performance optimization.
• Working knowledge of reverse engineering tools and ER modeling platforms.
• Prior experience in telecom or high-volume transactional systems is a strong plus.
