DevOps Engineer enables effective collaboration between development and operations and is responsible for designing, building, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, container platforms, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), automation, observability, and release processes. The objective is to ensure secure, standardized, fast, and reliable application delivery across dev/test/prod environments.

Job responsibilities

  • Design, build, standardize, and maintain reliable CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI/CD or Jenkins;
  • Build Docker-based containers and deploy, operate, and troubleshoot applications in Kubernetes environments;
  • Manage and optimize Kubernetes resources, including namespaces, RBAC, Services, Ingress, ConfigMaps/Secrets, resource limits, and Helm releases;
  • Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and configuration management using Terraform and Ansible, including reusable modules and playbooks;
  • Apply Git-based version control, release/branching practices, and, where applicable, GitOps principles to create traceable and repeatable deployment processes;
  • Manage container image and artifact repositories, including versioning and promotion across environments;
  • Build and improve monitoring, logging, alerting, and dashboards using Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, and related tools;
  • Apply safe deployment and rollback approaches such as rolling, blue/green, and canary deployments to minimize release risk;
  • Embed DevSecOps controls into CI/CD processes, including secrets management, least privilege, code/dependency/container image security checks, and traceable changes;
  • Monitor platform availability, performance, capacity, and resource utilization across dev/test/prod environments and implement optimization measures;
  • Investigate and resolve incidents, participate in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for complex issues, and define preventive actions;
  • Participate in patching/upgrading DevOps platforms and Kubernetes components, configuration backups, and Disaster Recovery/recovery testing;
  • Collaborate with Development, Infrastructure, Information Security, and other IT teams to onboard applications to standardized CI/CD and platform services;
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, deployment procedures, runbooks, and operational standards.

Requirements

  • Higher education in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant professional experience
  • Hands-on Linux administration (RHEL/Ubuntu), including system services, packages, file systems, and basic troubleshooting;
  • Hands-on experience building and operating CI/CD pipelines with GitLab CI/CD and/or Jenkins;
  • Practical Docker and Kubernetes knowledge, including workloads, Services, Ingress, RBAC, ConfigMaps/Secrets, storage, and core networking concepts;
  • Ability to develop and configure Helm charts and manage Helm releases;
  • Strong Git/version control skills, including branching, merge request/code review, and release management practices;
  • Practical knowledge of container image and artifact registries such as GitLab Registry, Docker Registry, and Nexus;
  • Infrastructure as Code and configuration management using Terraform and Ansible;
  • Scripting and automation skills with Bash and Python;
  • Understanding of GitOps principles; experience with Argo CD, Flux, or similar tools is an advantage;
  • Knowledge of metrics, logs, dashboards, and alerting using Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or similar observability tools;
  • Knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, TLS, reverse proxy, load balancing, and basic network troubleshooting; F5 experience is an advantage;
  • Fundamental/practical knowledge of virtualization and cloud platforms such as VMware and Azure;
  • Understanding of DevSecOps, secrets management, least privilege, vulnerability scanning, and container supply-chain security;
  • Understanding of High Availability, scaling, backup/recovery, Disaster Recovery, capacity, and performance principles;
  • Strong incident troubleshooting, log analysis, Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and systematic problem-solving skills;
  • Security-aware approach focused on automation, traceability, and minimizing manual changes;
  • Strong teamwork, technical documentation, communication, prioritization, and continuous-learning skills.
