Location: Offshore Construction Vessel

We are looking for experienced Vessel Field Engineers to support offshore construction and installation activities and provide engineering support to the Offshore Construction Manager and Project Team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide on-site engineering support during offshore construction and installation activities.
  • Monitor offshore operations to ensure compliance with project requirements, QA/QC and HSE standards.
  • Ensure offshore activities are prepared and executed according to approved engineering procedures.
  • Perform technical field verifications and resolve engineering issues during execution.
  • Participate in the preparation and review of installation procedures, drawings and Lift Plans.
  • Monitor daily progress and compare actual performance against the approved construction schedule.
  • Support reporting, documentation and analysis of project progress.
  • Assist with planning adjustments caused by weather, equipment breakdowns or operational requirements.
  • Liaise with offshore construction, marine and project teams to ensure smooth field operations.
  • Monitor subcontractor performance and execution.
  • Interface with Client technical representatives on engineering matters.
  • Support mobilisation and demobilisation activities, including vessel/deck preparation and material loadout.
  • Participate in shift handovers, ToolBox Talks (TBTs), HAZIDs/HIPAs and operational briefings.
  • Maintain vessel/project documentation, operational records, lessons learned and project history.
  • Mentor and support junior engineers as required.
  • Ensure full compliance with HSEQ policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Degree in Civil, Mechanical, Naval or Offshore Engineering.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role within Oil & Gas construction.
  • Offshore experience is essential.
  • Good knowledge of engineering design criteria, methods and workflows from conceptual through site engineering phases.
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD and tools related to 2D/3D modelling.
  • Strong MS Office skills.
  • Fluent Azerbaijani and English.
  • Strong communication, coordination and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in an offshore, multidisciplinary environment.
