Role Description The Surveyor Engineer is responsible for performing land and site surveys to support fabrication, installation, and commissioning projects, ensuring measurements and layouts are accurate and aligned with project specifications. Daily tasks include collecting field data, operating surveying instruments, preparing survey reports, and collaborating with project managers, engineers, and construction teams to interpret drawings and technical documentation. The role involves verifying elevations and coordinates, monitoring site progress from a surveying perspective, and maintaining detailed records in accordance with company quality procedures. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Baku City, requiring close coordination with other disciplines and adherence to MQS quality and safety standards.
Qualifications
- Strong technical surveying skills, including land and construction surveying, use of total stations, GNSS/GPS equipment, and leveling instruments.
- Proficiency in survey-related software and tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil/Survey CAD packages, data processing software) for preparing drawings, maps, and reports.
- Solid understanding of engineering drawings, specifications, geometric calculations, and basic civil/structural concepts relevant to fabrication and installation projects.
- Knowledge of quality management principles, documentation practices, and compliance with company procedures, standards, and safety regulations.
- Effective communication and teamwork capabilities, with the ability to coordinate with multidisciplinary project teams and present survey findings clearly.
- Relevant degree or diploma in Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, or a related field; professional certification or licensing in surveying is an advantage.
- Practical experience as a surveyor or surveyor engineer in industrial, construction, or fabrication environments; experience in NDT-related or oil and gas projects is a plus.
- Ability to work on-site in varying field conditions in Baku City, manage time and priorities, and maintain accuracy and attention to detail under project deadlines.
