Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Telecommunications Engineer role based in Baku. The Telecommunications Engineer will design, implement, and maintain telecommunications and network solutions that support ABM’s products and internal operations. Responsibilities include configuring and optimizing telecommunications systems, including VoIP and related network components, and ensuring system reliability, performance, and security. The role involves diagnosing and troubleshooting network and telecom issues, providing technical support to internal teams and customers, and documenting system configurations, standards, and procedures. The engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams on integration with machine vision, control, and other engineering systems, and will contribute to continuous improvement and technology upgrades.
Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in telecommunications systems, including configuration, integration, and maintenance.
• Ability to design and implement network solutions, with hands-on experience in network design and routing/switching concepts.
• Practical experience with Voice over IP (VoIP) technologies, protocols, and related infrastructure.
• Demonstrated troubleshooting skills for telecom and network issues, including incident analysis and root cause identification.
• Background in technical support, with the ability to assist internal teams and external clients in a clear and structured way.
• Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Familiarity with microwave and radio equipment, signaling protocols, and network security principles is an advantage.
• Experience with industrial or engineering environments (e.g., control systems, machine vision, or automation) is a plus.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams.
• Ability to work on-site in Baku, manage multiple tasks, and adapt to evolving project requirements.
