The Backend Chapter Lead is the professional leader of the Java/Spring Boot engineering discipline. The role is fully focused on people development, engineering quality, processes, and the growth of engineering maturity.

• Lead and manage engineering teams;
• Support team growth, mentoring, and performance management;
• Ensure timely and high-quality project delivery;
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Architects, QA, DevOps, and business stakeholders;
• Drive Agile/Scrum processes and engineering best practices;
• Participate in technical design and architectural decisions;
• Manage delivery risks, dependencies, and technical debt;
• Improve engineering processes, productivity, and operational efficiency;

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field;
• 5+ years of software engineering experience;
• 2+ years of engineering leadership experience;
• Banking or fintech experience;
• Experience managing Agile teams and enterprise systems;
• Strong software engineering background with hands-on development experience;
• Strong understanding Java and Spring Boot ecosystem;
• Experience with Microservices architecture;
• Experience with SQL/NoSQL databases;
• Experience with Kafka;
• Understanding SDLC and software architecture principles;
• Experience with high-load and highly available systems;
• Experience with Git, Gradle, Docker, K8S;
• Leadership and people management;
