"The Compulsory Insurance Bureau" (hereinafter – the “Bureau” ) is a non-profit organization established and operating as a union of legal entities in accordance with the Civil Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan taking into account the requirements of the Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan “On Compulsory Insurances” (hereinafter – the “Law”). The Bureau was created to ensure the protection of the interests of insured victims and third parties suffering damages, as well as to guarantee the stability and development of the compulsory insurance system. The Bureau is governed by the Board of Trustees (hereinafter – the “Board” ) as its supreme management body and by the Executive Director as its executive body. The composition of the Board includes 2 representatives of the Central Bank of the Republic of Azerbaijan and 3 representatives of the participating insurers .
