Role Description The Budgeting and Financial Reporting Supervisor is a full-time, on-site role based in Baku. This role is responsible for managing budgeting processes across the group’s institutions, including preparation, consolidation, and monitoring of annual and periodic budgets. The Supervisor ensures timely and accurate financial reporting, prepares management reports and analyses, and supports compliance with internal policies and local regulations. Day-to-day tasks include variance analysis, cost control oversight, coordination with school and department heads on financial plans, and continuous improvement of reporting tools and procedures. The role also involves supporting audits, advising leadership on financial performance, and contributing to strategic planning through data-driven insights.

Qualifications

  • Strong budgeting and financial reporting skills, including experience with budget preparation, consolidation, and variance analysis.
  • Proficiency in financial analysis, forecasting, and cost control to support data-driven decision-making.
  • Solid knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and audit processes relevant to the education or service sectors.
  • Advanced skills in Excel and financial systems or ERP software; familiarity with reporting and visualization tools is an advantage.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities, with attention to detail and capacity to handle multiple deadlines.
  • Collaborative mindset and leadership skills to supervise processes, coordinate with cross-functional teams, and support continuous improvement.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., ACCA, CPA, CFA) are an asset.
  • Relevant experience in budgeting and financial reporting, preferably within education, large organizations, or multi-entity environments.
  • High ethical standards, integrity, and commitment to non-discriminatory, inclusive workplace practices.
