About EiGroup
At eiGroup, we believe ideas can change industries - but only if they are nurtured with structure, science, and courage.
We’re an R&D and Innovation Venture Studio that transforms human ingenuity into technological value that scales.
Our ecosystem brings together researchers, engineers, and creators who turn complex challenges into scalable products - from subsurface imaging to AI-driven analytics, from remote sensing to digital transformation.
Our ventures are built in-house, born from research, and grown into independent companies.
Together, we’re shaping how innovation takes root in this region - and how it reaches the world.
About The Role
We are seeking a research-oriented R&D Engineer to join our Flow Assurance team and contribute to the development of engineering models, analytical methodologies, and computational tools for complex flow assurance challenges in the petroleum industry.
The role is particularly suited to an engineer with a strong interest in research, mathematical modelling, physical phenomena, and computational problem-solving. The successful candidate will work at the intersection of petroleum engineering, chemical engineering, fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, and data-driven modelling.
What You’ll Do
  • Conduct research into flow assurance phenomena affecting oil and gas production and transportation systems.
  • Develop, implement, and improve mechanistic and computational models for multiphase flow and flow assurance applications.
  • Translate physical and chemical phenomena into mathematical models and computational algorithms.
  • Perform model calibration, sensitivity analysis, validation, and uncertainty assessment using field, laboratory, and simulation data.
  • Develop Python-based tools for data processing, modelling, analysis, and automation.
  • Analyse production and operational data to identify trends, physical relationships, and factors affecting flow assurance performance.
  • Investigate discrepancies between model predictions and field observations and propose improvements to modelling approaches.
  • Review and critically evaluate scientific literature, industry methodologies, and existing modelling approaches.
  • Support the development of new R&D methodologies and computational workflows for petroleum production systems.
  • Collaborate with petroleum, chemical, production, reservoir, and process engineers to translate research outcomes into practical engineering solutions.
  • Document technical findings and communicate results through technical reports, presentations, and research documentation.
What You Bring
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
  • Good understanding of fundamental engineering concepts, particularly fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, heat and mass transfer, and/or physical chemistry.
  • Working knowledge of Python for data analysis, numerical calculations, modelling, or scientific programming.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to understand complex physical systems and formulate engineering problems mathematically.
  • Strong interest in research, modelling, and development of new technical methodologies.
  • Ability to work independently, investigate unfamiliar technical problems, and develop solutions through structured research.
  • Good technical communication and scientific writing skills.
Nice to Have
  • Experience with mathematical or numerical modelling.
  • Experience in flow assurance, multiphase flow, production engineering, process engineering, or petroleum systems.
  • Familiarity with thermodynamic or fluid-property modelling.
  • Experience with numerical methods, optimisation, statistical analysis, or machine learning.
  • Experience handling and analysing large engineering datasets using Python.
  • Familiarity with tools such as NumPy, pandas, SciPy, Matplotlib, or similar scientific Python libraries.
  • Research experience through an academic project, thesis, internship, or industrial R&D project.
  • Experience working with experimental, laboratory, field, or simulation data.
Our Benefits Include
  • Flexible working hours
  • Company-provided lunch
