Role Description The Vendor role at SCOPE is a full-time, on-site position based in Baku. The Vendor is responsible for sourcing and evaluating suppliers, negotiating pricing and terms, and maintaining strong professional relationships with vendors to support construction-related projects and training activities. Day-to-day tasks include managing purchase orders, tracking deliveries, monitoring inventory levels, and ensuring timely and accurate procurement of goods and services. The role also involves coordinating with internal teams to understand project requirements, maintaining up-to-date records and documentation, and ensuring compliance with organizational policies and relevant regulations. The Vendor contributes to cost optimization, quality assurance, and reliable supply chain operations to support SCOPE’s consulting and training services.

Qualifications

• Strong skills in vendor management, procurement, and supplier relationship building, with the ability to negotiate favorable terms and pricing.
• Experience in inventory tracking, order processing, and basic contract administration to ensure accurate and timely delivery of goods and services.
• Proficiency in using office productivity software and procurement or ERP tools, with solid data entry and documentation capabilities.
• Knowledge of construction industry materials, services, and standards in Azerbaijan, or demonstrated ability to learn sector-specific requirements quickly.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
• Relevant education in business, supply chain, procurement, or a related field; experience in a similar role in construction or consulting is an advantage.
