Principal Function (Job Summary)

• The Senior Chemist is responsible for the operation of the laboratory, ensuring that facility is operated and maintained to ASTM, IP, GOST, API standards and is carried out in accordance with company’s QA/HSE/ Compliance policies.

Major Duties and Responsibility Areas

Responsible for:

• Demonstrated commitment to health, safety, and the environment.
• Conduct to ASTM, IP, GOST API standards, all necessary product analysis in a comprehensive and timely manner.
• Timely Issue reports in co-operation with inspection department
• Maintaining all relevant notebooks
• Calibration of equipment
• Preparation of standard solutions
• Verifying validity of testing/analysis equipment apparatus and standards
• Representing of the laboratory as a witness, at third parties or other laboratories, conducting such witnessing/testing/analyses in accordance with company policy and witnessing analysis protocol
• Developing the technical expertise of the laboratory through the implementation of new techniques and instrumentation
• Ensure that laboratory is kept clean and tidy
• Comply with established schedule and provide appropriate handover
• In case of any incident report immediately to responsible person

Qualifications and Experience Required

• Education - University graduate.
• Professional Qualifications - Chemistry Degree.
• Experience - Minimum of 3-year experience in a chemical analytical laboratory.
