Division: Strategy and Business Analysis

Location: Baku, Azerbaijan

Reports to: Head of Strategy & Business Analysis division

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Planning & Execution
  • Support the development and periodic review of company’s corporate strategy and business plans.
  • Collaborate with business units to align divisional strategies with group objectives.
  • Track execution of strategic initiatives and report progress to senior management.
  • Support relevant units and/or departments when needed and act as an in-house consultant with open initiatives.

· Market & Industry Analysis

  • Conduct comprehensive market research and competitive benchmarking across local and international markets.
  • Identify emerging trends, growth opportunities, and potential risks.
  • Prepare strategic intelligence reports for the Board and Executive Committee.
  • Update reports and Dashboard (digital and non-digital) regularly

· Business & Financial Analysis

  • Build and maintain financial models for existing and potential investments.
  • Evaluate business performance using KPIs, profitability analysis, and efficiency metrics.
  • Support portfolio companies in improving financial and operational results.

· Investment Evaluation & M&A Support

  • Participate in the identification, assessment, and due diligence of investment opportunities.
  • Work closely with finance, legal, and operational teams to identify and detect any opportunities that may create value.
  • Develop valuation models and scenario analyses when necessary.

· Stakeholder Engagement & Reporting

  • Prepare Board-level presentations, investment memos, and executive reports.
  • Act as a liaison between group management and subsidiary leadership teams.
  • Support strategic workshops, planning sessions, and cross-functional projects.

Qualifications & Skills

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • 5–8 years of experience in consulting, corporate strategy, investment/business analysis planning or financial field.
  • Proven track record in financial modeling, strategic analysis, and project management.

Technical Skills:

  • Strong proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and financial modeling tools.
  • Solid understanding of valuation techniques, ROI analysis, and investment appraisal.
  • Knowledge of business intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) is an advantage.

Soft Skills:

  • Strategic and analytical thinking with problem-solving ability.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills in Azerbaijani and English (Russian is an advantage).
  • Strong business acumen and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-sector environment and manage multiple priorities.
